12星座的英文怎么說？
二千多年前希臘的天文學家希巴克斯（Hipparchus，西元前190~120年）為標示太陽在黃道上運行的位置，就將黃道帶分成十二個區段，以春分點為0°，自春分點（即黃道零度）算起，每隔30°為一宮，并以當時各宮內所包含的主要星座來命名，依次為白羊、金牛、雙子、巨蟹、獅子、處女、天秤、天蝎、射手、摩羯、水瓶、雙魚等宮，稱之為黃道十二宮，總計為十二個星群。
在地球運轉到每個等份（星群）時所出生的嬰兒，長大后總有若干相似的特征，包括行為特質、性格特征等。
將這些聯想（豐富的想像和創造力）串聯起來，便使這些星群人性的具體化了；又加入神話的色彩，成為文化（主要指希臘和羅馬神話）的重要部份。
這套命理演進、流傳至今至少五千年的歷史，它們以這十二個星座為代表。
但這些星座并非是某一個“星星”的意思，只能視為“名稱相同的一種代表標記而已”。

這是個很暗的小星座，里面只有緊挨著的2.3m的α星和2.7m的β星稍微顯著些。
秋季星空的飛馬座和仙女座的四顆星組成了一個大方框，從方框北面的兩顆星引出一條直線，向東延長一倍半的距離，就可以看到白羊座了。
金牛座 冬季在獵戶座西北方不遠的天區， 有一顆非常亮的0.86m星（在全天亮星中排第十三位），它就是金牛座α星，我國古代稱它為畢宿五。
金牛座也是著名的黃道十二星座之一，而畢宿五就位于黃道附近，它和同樣處在黃道附近的獅子座的軒轅十四、天蝎座的心宿二、南魚座的北落師門等四顆亮星，在天球上各相差大約90°，正好每個季節一顆，它們被合稱為黃道帶的“四大天王”。
金牛座中最有名的天體，就是“兩星團加一星云”。
連接獵戶座γ星和畢宿五，向西北方延長一倍左右的距離，有一個著名的疏散星團——昴星團。
眼力好的人，可以看到這個星團中的七顆亮星，所以我國古代又稱它為“七簇星”。
昴星團距離我們417光年，它的直徑達13光年，用大型望遠鏡觀察， 可以發現昴星團的成員有280多顆星。
另一個疏散星團叫畢星團，它就位于畢宿五附近，但畢宿五并不是它的成員。
